"Advanced Cell Solutions in Complementary Medicine"

Who Are Cellf?

Cellf is a new and innovative company based around delivering the latest technology in complementary medicine for Cell Rejuvenation through Cell Therapy. Whilst our therapies remain outside of mainstream medical practices there are many that believe it is “Tomorrows vitamins being delivered today”.

Complementary medicine has been established as a valuable source for consumers around the world. It is a type of medicine that has evolved around patient centered care, with parallels between the delivery of, and approach to a philosophy of holism and the singular patient. The clinical applications offered by Cellf are designed to work in conjunction with what is best for your body.

Our commitment to our patients and health care providers is to advance the viability and knowledge of the products we use through ongoing education and understanding of where these applications and products are moving to in this new age of developing cell therapy medicine.

As we age visibly our bodies age internally as well. Internal Cellular turnover slows and dead/dying cells outweigh the new replacement cells. Cellf Cell Regeneration and Cell Therapies are a way of boosting our internal Cell count to maximise healing and keep our bodies in best of health.

"Cell regeneration can help maintain a busy lifestyle"

Cell Regeneration is an intervention therapy to aid recovery without surgery. Some surgeries leave the body unable to have full motion. IE: after specific knee surgery, you may be unable to ride a bike since the knee can no longer move past 90 degrees. At Cellf we are looking at Cell Therapy to heal our bodies without surgery, however this may not work for everyone.

What is Cellf?

The word Cellf is a play on words. We were looking for something to bring together “cells for self”. And wallah!

What is Regenerative Medicine?

The regenerative medical field truly represents a new era in medicine, one in which otherwise dormant cells from your own body are made bio-available to replace and repair degenerative cells and tissues elsewhere in your body.

What is cell regeneration?

Cell Regeneration is a treatment process where we use your dormant cells to help repair and re-invigorate damaged cells in your body.

How does cell regeneration work?

Cell regeneration works by starting a series of natural developments which result in an overall change that releases Cytokines. Cytokines are cell signalling molecules that aid cell to cell communication in immune responses and stimulate the movement of cells towards sites of inflammation, infection and trauma. Thereby starting the internal healing process.

How is cell regeneration therapy administered at cellf?

The treatment is done in 4 easy steps.

  1. After an initial consultation with our doctors you will be booked in, at the earliest possible appointment available, for a 4-hour treatment package in our clinic. Upon arrival on the day of your procedure our nurse will go through all areas of the treatment and then prepare you.
  2. The next step is the lipolysis to retrieve the cells. This will take approximately 1 hour. You will be given a local anaesthetic in the area we will be working on. This harvest will be transferred to our Separation System.
  3. Whilst the process of extracting the cells is carried out in our fully enclosed system you will be given Laser Therapy though our Low Level Laser Machine, which also helps the body to repair and prepare the body to receive the extracted cells.
  4. The cells are returned to your body through injections to the areas as discussed in your initial consult.

What Cells are used?

At Cellwe only use cells derived from your body, called Autologous Cells. At no stage do we try to manipulate or change these cells. This process helps to eliminate the chances of rejection and our closed system helps to eliminate cross infection. We do not use Induced Pluripotent Cells (IPS), and Autologous Adult Stem Cells where genes have been manipulated as these are considered not ready for patient use by many Regulators.

Why do you use Adipose Tissue (fat cells) and not bone marrow cells?

Cellf has looked at many different studies on this question and it has been proven that there is a higher concentration of regenerative cells in fat (Messers Zuk & Hedrick 2002). Since we are looking for the highest cell count for the best possible outcome we have chosen this mechanism. Also, the Separation Machine we use is approved  by “The Therapeutic Goods Association” (TGA). It is state of the art technology, being fully enclosed to limit cross infection. (We were unable to find a similar machine for bone marrow separation. This is not to say that it doesn’t exist.)

Is this treatment safe?

There are risks involved with all medical treatments, some small, some great. At Cellf  we have chosen the least invasive methods to achieve the highest possible outcome. We are using equipment that has been accredited and passed by the Australian Government Authority, “The Therapeutic Goods Association” (TGA). We only employ fully trained doctors and nurses and our clinic rooms are kept to the highest standard. Present indications show the worst of outcomes to be no outcome at all. That is no change to your current ailment. Cell Regeneration is one of the newest forms of medical science and practice and there are many trials underway all around the world. Many of which are due to release their findings in the not too distant future. When researching Cell Regeneration/Stem cell Treatments please note the dates of the journals/papers you are reading. A lot has changed in the last couple of years and some information still being offered is now so far out of date that it is null and void.  We believe that within the next 5 -8 years this type of medical practice will come to be mainstream.

Is this the same as "Stem Cell Treatment"?

The word Stem Cell is an overarching phrase used for different cells in the body. The term Stem Cell Treatment or Stem Cell Derived Treatments is widely used by the medical profession and largely miss-understood by the local community. The word Stem Cell is a generic term for different cells in the body. These cells have the capacity to assist healing by stimulating blood flow and allowing oxygen to damaged areas. At Cellf we use your harvested fat cells which are called “Adipose Tissue” or “Adipose derived Regenerative Cells” (ADRCs) or “Stromal Vascular Rich Cells” (SVRCs)

Do I need more than 1 treatment?

In most cases 1 treatment is enough, however you and your body along with consultation with our doctors may form the opinion that another treatment is required some time down the track. It is not advised to seek more treatments within the first year.

What is Laser Therapy?

The use of our low-level laser therapy device leads to a general energizing, immune enhancing and metabolic optimization by absorption through the skin. It is known that this type of treatment works on our body at a cellular level. It is non invasive and to date there are no noted side effects.

Is this the same as PRP, or Platelet Rich Plasma injections?

No! Blood is made up of red cells, white cells, platelets and plasma. Plasma is the fluid part of the blood. Platelets are the smallest blood cells that circulate in your blood. Their best-known function is involved clot formation, which controls bleeding at wound sites. What is not so well known is that they contain many bioactive factors that initiate and regulate wound healing.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is plasma from which the red cells and white cells have been removed and the platelets concentrated. It is made from your own blood. The plasma, the platelets and the bioactive factors can be used in wound healing and regeneration.

Does Age make a difference?

There are a lot of theories as to why people change as they get older. Some claim that aging is caused by injuries from ultraviolet light over time, wear and tear on the body, or by-products of metabolism. Other theories view aging as a predetermined process controlled by genes.

No single process can explain all the changes of aging. Aging is a complex process that varies as to how it affects different people and even different organs. Most gerontologists (people who study aging) feel that aging is due to the interaction of many lifelong influences. These influences include heredity, environment, culture, diet, exercise and leisure, past illnesses, and many other factors.

Unlike the changes of adolescence, which are predictable to within a few years, each person ages at a unique rate. Some systems begin aging as early as age 30. Other aging processes are not common until much later in life.

Although some changes always occur with aging, they occur at different rates and to different extents. There is no way to predict exactly how you will age.

Some studies have shown that Cell Regeneration treatments have a better effect on people over the age of 35, however this has no clinical evidence to back it up. What we do know is that as we age our bodies do not renew cell turnover at the same rate as it did in our younger years. And there appears to be no end age for these treatments to have some effect.

What Diseases can be treated with cell regeneration?

As its name suggests Cell Regeneration can have beneficial effects on many degenerative diseases. There are currently clinical trials being held all around the world for various diseases, these include but are not limited too;

Urology

Cardiac/Pulmonary

Orthopaedics

Neurology

Auto Immune Disease

Ophthalmology

Treatments and Procedures

At Cellf we offer a select range of treatments and procedures based on an extensive consultation with our doctors to cater to each patients varying needs.

Cell Regeneration & Cell Therapy

Our technology allows us to complete the entire procedure in the same day, using minimally invasive methods. A high-dose of cells can be obtained in around 1 hour, whilst these cells are being prepared our nurse will administer the other treatments as discussed with the doctor. All up treatment time is approximately 4 hours, however this may vary between patients. The inpatient treatment is minimised due to the state of the art machinery used at Cellf as there is no need to ship samples to an outside laboratory and wait days for the cells to be returned for an injection on a second visit. It is also carried out in a “Closed System” under a “Sterile Process”.

Treatment is performed in 4 simple stages:

Harvesting – A simple fat graft (lipoaspirate) is undertaken under a local anaesthetic and transferred directly into the fully enclosed Cytori Celution system.

Separation –  Cells (Adipose-Derived Regenerative Cells, ADRCs) are separated from fat cells in high-speed centrifuge within the system where centrifugal force separates dormant stem cells from harvested fat.

Activation – The reagent used has been clinically tested and approved to maintain the highest standard of ADRCs are available for re-injection.

Delivery – The doctor will then inject the cells site-specific as discussed in your consult.

Healing is a complex process, involving mechanisms at both the molecular and cellular levels, but simplified it looks like this: When activated ADRCs (cells) return to patient’s body, they are circulating the system for a short time until they become attracted to a protein which is secreted in the area of the damaged tissue. In short, these cells find the highest point of resistance and attach themselves to start the healing process.
